| To
install our sectional dock systems, you will need the provided
adjustment crank and a 20' rope. |
|
| Before
installing the dock sections, check that all bolts and nuts on the
dock braces are tightened and in good shape. You should also
tighten the bolts and nuts securing the footpads. |
 |
| Take
your first section from the point at which it was stored to the
starting location. The 4' x 8' section frame with legs
weighs approximately 65 pounds and depending on the physical
capabilities of the person doing the installation, the sections
with removable panels can be installed and removed by one person.
(*Non-Removable dock surface sections weigh more and it is
recommended that two people install the dock sections.) |
 |
| Attach
the rope around the leg end of the section. Lower the
section slowly while keeping constant tension on the rope until
the section is in place, then remove the rope. |
 |
| Two
4' x 4' panels are then set into the frame to create the
deck. The panels weigh about 40 pounds each. The
first panel is set into the frame and slid back toward shore. |
 |
| The
second panel has holes near two of the corners of the
panel. The panel is installed with the holes away from the
shore and slid up and over the leg adjustment hexcaps. |
 |
| Because
of changing weather and water conditions, the ground (or
lake/river bed) can change from year to year. Place a
level (4' level preferred for greatest accuracy) between the
hexcaps. If leveling is necessary, use the adjustment
crank on the recessed hexcaps to raise (counter-clockwise) or lower
(clockwise) the legs as necessary. |
 |
| Now
take the next section from the storage area over to the
installed section. Stand the frame up on end and attach
the rope around the leg end of the section. (*For
Non-Removable dock surface sections, place the section about 12
inches to one side. This will allow the person helping you
to step around to your side of the dock section.) |
 |
| Interlocking
connections allow sections to lock together without the use of
pins, bolts, or fasteners. Once you are ready to place you
section, align and interlock the dock connections. |
 |
| Lower
the section using the rope keeping constant tension on the rope
until the section is completely lowered. This will keep
the sections aligned with each other.
Remove the rope, then install
the panels the same way you installed them on the first section
and level the section. |
 |
| To
aid in moving the dock sections from the storage area, the
optional wheel cart may be used to assist with the installation. |
 |
| Place
the section frame on its side with the dock legs toward the
storage area and attached the wheel cart
to the frame near the interlocking hinge and away from the
storage area. |
| Rotate
the section frame onto the wheels and push the frame out to the
next installation point. |
| Install
the frame with the cart still attached and lower the
frame. Then remove the cart, install the panels like
before, and level. |
| The
L-sections are installed the same way as the other
sections: Align, interlock, lower, insert panels, and
level. |
| To
install a corner section, simply align the interlocking
connection and lower into place. |
 |
| Once
all sections are in place and leveled, add water to the tubular
frame. The panels on the vinyl and cedar docks may be slid
forward to locate the water fill holes. The additional 60
pounds of water weight per section will help stabilize the dock
during high winds and heavy wave action protecting your
investment. |
|
| The
accessories are easy to install, just place them in the desired
location and bolt to the dock frame. If you decide to
change the placement of an accessory, it can be easily done
without leaving any unsightly and unwanted holes in your deck
surface. |
